The General Assembly is the highest governing body in the Presbyterian Church USA. Commissioners appointed by their Presbytery meet every two years to decide the business of the Presbyterian Church. Each item of business presented is discussed and voted on during committee meetings. The committee votes to recommend that the Assembly as a whole either vote in the affirmative or the negative on each item of business.
Members of the Southern Kansas Presbytery may serve on various committees or as
General Assembly Commissioners. The PSK 223rd GA Commissioners are: Rev. Mark Miller and Ruling Elder, Mary Dusenbury.
